A student-student mentorship video database for questions that extend beyond the classroom and ultimately change the world. When rain comes after long periods of drought, sometimes the earth will erupt in wildflowers. This happened in California last spring, and the flowers were seen from space! A simple resource can lead to an explosion of existing potential. The SuperBloom progressive web app, the next step for BloomBox Design Labs, will act as a catalyst for help students around the world reach full bloom by creating a community of collaboration and idea exchange in a 1-minute video format. High school students film short videos and ask questions about topics that inspire them, and will be supported by students at universities around the world majoring in those subjects. A recommendation algorithm tailors content to student interest, allowing learners to go deep into the topics they care about most. SuperBloom currently has upwards of 6,000 signups and counting.
